Earlier this year, Sean Silveira, a flowboarder turned wakesurfer took first place overall for the 2018 Supra Boats Pro Wakesurf Tour. After 4 stops in Chandler, AZ; Acworth, GA; Mooresville, NC; and Warsaw, IN; Silveira took over the top overall position and went home with PWT gold for 2018.
Silveira took home his first win on the Pro Wakesurf Tour at the second stop of the PWT in Acworth, GA beating out his fellow finalists, Jonathan Akerman and Parker Payne. After a huge win, Silveira and several other competitors swam out to the flotilla of boats outside the contest course to mingle with attendees and have some fun.
On the 3rd stop of the tour, Silveira started to truly shine winning back-to-back stops giving himself a commanding lead for the overall title with one stop remaining. The final stop of the 2018 Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour (PWT) brought the world’s top wakeboarders and wakesurfers to Center Lake in Warsaw, IN to compete for the PWT finals. The athletes left nothing on the table as they battled it out to get on the podium for the final round and the overall championship finals.
With the title on the line, Silveira put together a fantastic run and sealed his first place position overall with 365 total points. With a individualistic style and clean execution, Silveira was able to cap off his 2018 season with a bang to take home the first overall PWT win of his career.
“I love being out here and competing with the best wakesurfers in the country,” said Silveria. Silveira continued, “it’s always an honor to be invited to the Pro Wake Tour and I couldn’t be more excited to come away with the overall title this year. I’m looking forward to Worlds and all that the 2019 season has in store for me!”
